Warranty Policy

At SigonnaSound, every product we sell is sourced directly from the brand or an authorized distributor - never gray-market or unverifiable imports. That means the manufacturer's warranty applies to your purchase exactly as it would if you'd bought it directly from the brand. This page explains what's covered, for how long, and how to make a claim.

What this policy does not do: it does not limit or reduce any rights you have under U.S. consumer protection law, including the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Nothing here is a substitute for those rights.

Coverage by product category

Electronics - pedals, processors, and audio gear (Hotone, Valeton, Mosky Audio, Warm Audio, and similar) Covered by the manufacturer's standard warranty, typically 1 year from the purchase date, against defects in materials and workmanship. Check your product's listing or included documentation for the exact term set by that brand.

Hardware and accessories (Vega-Trem tremolo systems, Thalia capos and inlays, AxLabs, Allparts, and similar hardware) Covered against manufacturing defects - for example, a tremolo system that doesn't hold tune due to a factory flaw, or hardware that arrives with a defective finish or casting. Typical coverage is 90 days to 1 year depending on the brand; we'll confirm the exact term for your item when you file a claim.

Strings, picks, cables, and other consumables These are wear items by nature and are not covered by a warranty once used. If strings or cables arrive defective out of the box - broken packaging, a cable that's dead on arrival - that's covered under our 30-day return window instead, not warranty. See our Refund Policy.

Orchestral strings and accessories (Thomastik-Infeld, GHS Strings, Bonmusica, and similar) Same as above: unused, defective-on-arrival items are handled as a return within 30 days. Normal wear from playing is never covered.

Car audio Covered by the manufacturer's standard warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, typically 1 year from purchase. Installation-related damage is not covered under this policy - if your unit was professionally installed, check with your installer first.

Drums and percussion accessories (Offworld Percussion and similar) Covered against manufacturing defects, typically 1 year from purchase. Normal wear (surface marks, degradation of practice pad material from regular use) is not covered.

What's covered

  • Defects in materials or workmanship present at the time of manufacture

  • A product that fails to perform as described due to a factory fault, not misuse

What's not covered

  • Normal wear and tear (worn strings, faded finishes, loosened hardware from regular playing)

  • Damage from misuse, improper setup, or accidents (drops, spills, extreme temperature or humidity exposure)

  • Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications

  • Cosmetic wear that doesn't affect function

  • Products purchased from a reseller other than SigonnaSound or an authorized retailer

How to file a warranty claim

  1. Email us at office@sigonnasound.com with your order number, the product name, and a description of the issue.

  2. Include clear photos or a short video showing the defect. For electronics, note when the issue started and any relevant details (e.g., specific settings, power source).

  3. We'll confirm whether the issue is covered under this policy within 2 business days, and let you know whether it's handled directly by us or routed to the manufacturer, depending on the brand.

  4. Once approved, we'll arrange a repair, replacement, or store credit - whichever the manufacturer's terms specify, or whichever gets you back up and running fastest when we have discretion.

Warranty claims for parts still in stock are typically resolved with a replacement shipped within 5-7 business days of approval. Claims that need to go through the manufacturer directly may take longer - we'll give you a realistic timeline once we know which path applies.

Before you file a claim

If you're not sure whether something is a defect or normal wear, or whether your item is still in the warranty window, just reach out - we'd rather answer a question than have you sit on a broken pedal wondering if it's worth asking. Have your order number ready; it speeds things up.
